About Samaritans Aotearoa

Samaritans offer a day and night caring listening service for all callers. Our volunteer listeners are trained to help callers find their own pathways in a supportive, non-judgmental, confidential manner. Volunteers are not trained counsellors so we avoid giving advice, but will help callers talk through their concerns to identify possible next steps. If you are experiencing loneliness, depression, despair, distress, relationship issues of any kind, grief or suicidal feelings, call our helpline now.
