Find support for dementia and Alzheimer's from a helpline in Ontario, Canada

Gradually losing your edge and having to adapt to your new reality could make you feel a range of different emotions. However, many people out there are going through the same thing. You can find free support in Ontario, Canada from 23 hotlines if you’re struggling with:

  • Forgetfulness of simple things, like a shopping list, more than usual
  • Not caring about what others feel
  • Confusion about time, mixing past with present events
  • You might experience hallucinations and delusions
  • Feeling depressed and pessimistic for no obvious reason
  • Finding it difficult to speak and focus on what you’re saying
  • Using strange words to name otherwise very familiar objects
  • Wandering or getting lost in neighborhoods you know well

There is no right way to respond to the symptoms and diagnosis of dementia and Alzheimer’s. It’s normal if you struggle to find meaning. On the other hand, you may also start to incorporate your new reality into your new identity.
