Are you experiencing difficulties at school or work? Get free, confidential support from a helpline in Canada today.

School and work are realities that few of us can avoid. When problems there become unbearable, it's easy to feel like you are somehow to blame. We are all unique. What’s easy for some may be trickier for others. There are 4 helplines in Canada to reach to for support if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Constantly feel tired, lazy, sad or depressed, wishing you weren’t at work or school.
  • Have considered hurting yourself or others to end your daily troubles at work or school.
  • Often absentee yourself for headaches, flu, injuries and stomach bugs that you don’t really have.
  • Feel overwhelmed by lessons, tasks and activities and unable to handle the stress.
  • Feel excessively tired, depressed, hopeless, withdrawn, or consider turning to drugs or alcohol.
  • Have trouble understanding tasks, assignments and lessons, and feel left behind or inadequate.
  • Constantly feel tired, withdrawn and depressed, wishing you could be anywhere but at work or school.
  • Experience intense shyness, anxiety and low self-esteem when interacting on tasks with others.

Difficulties at school or work can have a domino effect. Specific issues such as pressure from teachers or managers, undiagnosed learning disabilities, poor vision or hearing, bullying and social anxiety can end up impacting every aspect of your daily experience at school or work – but you are not alone.

Distress at school and work should never get in the way of your ability to learn, perform, interact or thrive. You have the potential to succeed, but you need support. If your concerns and negative feelings persist for weeks, months or longer, it might be time to reach out to a volunteer or counselor at a helpline in Canada for support.
