Have symptoms of trauma and PTSD? Contacting a hotline in Estonia can help

It is never easy to deal with traumatic experiences and resulting PTSD symptoms. There are 3 in Estonia that can help you begin your healing journey. Although each person’s experience of trauma and PTSD is unique, there are some common symptoms which include:

  • A sensation of emotional numbness
  • Experiencing 'hypervigilance' or extreme alertness
  • Blaming yourself for what happened to you
  • Finding it hard to concentrate
  • Experiencing emotions that you went through during the trauma
  • Avoiding places that remind you of a traumatic event
  • Self-harming or destructive behaviour
  • Repetitive thoughts about how you could have changed or avoided the traumatic event

These feelings are a completely normal response to traumatic experiences. Trauma leaves an imprint on our lives that can profoundly affect our emotional wellbeing.

Know that there are people in Estonia trained to help you deal with whatever sensations you are experiencing. They understand what you are going through, and you can find a safe place to talk without feeling judged.
