Get help now from a helpline in England for trauma and PTSD

Traumatic experiences happen more often than you might think. Because they are so common and frequently highly distressing, England has 6 to help people dealing with trauma and PTSD. Symptoms might involve:

  • Thoughts of suicide and a sensation of hopelessness
  • Experiencing depression as a result of your traumatic experience
  • Repetitive thoughts about how you could have changed or avoided the traumatic event
  • Frequent nightmares and disturbed sleep patterns
  • Continued negative thoughts about a traumatic experience
  • Distracting yourself from horrible memories with work or hobbies
  • Blaming yourself for what happened to you
  • Feelings of guilt or shame about a traumatic event

The thoughts and feelings linked to trauma and PTSD are all completely normal. It’s okay to feel whatever you feel – and you can do so without guilt or shame.

Dealing with experiences that have left us with wounds can feel daunting. It’s okay to be overwhelmed by what you are going through. But you don’t have to do it alone – there are people in England who understand and are here to support you.

If you are ready to talk to someone about your experiences of trauma & PTSD, you can contact a hotline in England for free and confidential support.
