Get help now from a helpline in Ireland for trauma and PTSD

If you have been through a traumatic experience affecting your life, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Reach out to one of 12 helplines across Ireland. If you aren’t sure if you have PTSD, then read through these common symptoms and see if you can relate:

  • Being jumpy or easily startled
  • Continued negative thoughts about a traumatic experience
  • Experiencing depression as a result of your traumatic experience
  • A sensation of emotional numbness
  • Physical sensations such as pain, trembling, sweating or nausea
  • Repetitive and disturbing images and sensations
  • Feeling unable to trust anyone
  • Self-harming or destructive behaviour

Experiencing these symptoms of trauma and PTSD can be extremely distressing. They can still impact your daily life even at a reasonably mild level. Seeking help can assist you with managing your symptoms.

Even though going through trauma and PTSD can feel very isolating and scary, there are people in Ireland who are here to help. Sharing how you feel is the first step towards recovery. You don’t have to face your fears alone.
