Reach out to a hotline in Sri Lanka for support with substance abuse and drugs or alcohol addiction

Recovery from substance abuse and addiction is possible. It all starts with taking the first step to admit you have a problem with drugs or alcohol and seeking help. You can get support for yourself or a loved on by contacting one of 1 hotlines in Sri Lanka if you notice these symptoms:

  • Experiencing interpersonal problems as a result of substance abuse.
  • Feeling an urge to use drugs, alcohol or other substances regularly.
  • A loss of interest in activities previously enjoyed.
  • Being unable to stop using drugs or alcohol despite the negative consequences it is causing.
  • Obsessive thinking about using drugs or alcohol that makes it hard to focus on anything else.
  • Having a short temper and being more irritable and aggressive than usual.
  • Erratic changes in mood, or mood swings.
  • Using under dangerous circumstances, for example drinking and driving.

It can be difficult to admit that you have a substance abuse problem and that you need help. It takes a lot of strength to take the first step, but when you do, you'll be that much closer to healing and recovery.
