About The Listening Ear

The Listening Ear is dedicated to providing free, compassionate and confidential support over phone. We are here to help everyone in Michigan, the United States, and Canada who may be looking for support with abuse & domestic violence, anxiety, bullying, Dementia & Alzheimer's, depression, eating & body image, family issues, gambling, gender & sexual identity, grief & loss, loneliness, parenting, pregnancy & abortion, relationships, school or work issues, self-harm, sexual abuse, stress, substance use, suicide, supporting a friend or family member, trauma & PTSD.

People call us for many different mental health, crisis and behavioral health reasons. Regardless of what you are experiencing, we can support you. Talking with us is free. As part of our commitment to preventing suicide, we are available to help you if you are considering suicide or harming yourself, or if you are noticing warning signs in a friend or family member

When you contact us you will talk with one of our trained volunteers who will collaborate with you to find solutions while giving you an empathetic and compassionate ear. They have expertise and understanding in how to help people going through difficulties similar to what you are. We support people of all ethnicities, genders, beliefs and ages. We are here for everyone.
