Is school or work affecting you emotionally? Find support through a free helpline in Singapore.

School and work are realities that few of us can avoid. When problems there become unbearable, it's easy to feel like you are somehow to blame. We are all unique. What’s easy for some may be trickier for others. There are 3 helplines in Singapore to reach to for support if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Pretend that you are sick, nauseous or hurt so that you can avoid attending.
  • Don’t trust your peers, teachers or colleagues and feel victimised by their words and actions.
  • Feel so unhappy attending that you regularly find ways to avoid school, classes or work.
  • Constantly feel tired, withdrawn and depressed, wishing you could be anywhere but at work or school.
  • Pretend to be sick, hurt or busy to avoid attending classes, school or work.
  • Have thoughts of violence, self-harm or suicide because you feel trapped by school or work.
  • Feel excessively tired, depressed, hopeless, withdrawn, or consider turning to drugs or alcohol.
  • Are unable to understand, follow or complete the days lessons, tasks or activities.

If daily troubles at school or work are affecting your mental wellbeing, you’re not alone. Many people experience social anxiety, with difficulty interacting and fitting into groups. Others have trouble staying organised, comprehending lessons and tasks, or even remaining still and focused when in class or at the office.

When troubled thoughts about school or work get in the way of your potential, it might be time to access support. Receiving support doesn't make you weak – it simply means you're human. Consider contacting a helpline in Singapore for free and confidential support today.
