Substance abuse and drugs and alcohol addiction helplines are available in Singapore

If you or a loved one is struggling with substance use, such as drugs and alcohol addiction, you’re not alone. Substance use disorders and substance-related problems affect millions of people each year, but the good news is that they are treatable. If you notice any of the following symptoms, reach out to one of 1 helplines in Singapore.

  • Inability to stop using drugs or alcohol despite repeated attempts.
  • Being unable to stop using drugs or alcohol despite the negative consequences it is causing.
  • Feeling an urge to use drugs, alcohol or other substances regularly.
  • Neglecting hygiene and personal appearance.
  • Sleeping at strange hours of the day or night.
  • Experiencing interpersonal problems as a result of substance abuse.
  • Using substances as a way to relieve negative or uncomfortable emotions.
  • Spending money on drugs or alcohol despite it being unaffordable.

It can be difficult to admit that you have a substance abuse problem and that you need help. It takes a lot of strength to take the first step, but when you do, you'll be that much closer to healing and recovery.
