Experiencing anxiety or a panic attack? Get free support for anxiety from a hotline in Taiwan

Anxiety can be extremely overwhelming and confusing. It's very common to experience anxiety at some point in your life, although what this looks like can vary from person to person. If you're in Taiwan and you're feeling anxious, worried or fearful, there are 4 helplines who can help. Anxiety symptoms can look like any of the following:

  • Increased heart rate
  • Feeling like you're out of control
  • Changes in appetite
  • Trembling, sweating, or feeling clammy
  • Feeling irritable or on edge
  • Feeling weak or exhausted by your thoughts
  • Restlessness, fidgeting, or can't seem to sit still
  • Sudden shortness of breath

These are all typical signs of anxiety. For some people, these feelings and thoughts are mild. For others, they are sudden, intense and terrifying, making them even wonder if they are dying. Anxiety can be extremely challenging to deal with and can cause you to feel alone in what you're going through.

Tackling these thoughts and feelings on your own can be really difficult, but it's important to know that there are ways to manage your anxiety. There are people in Taiwan who understand and want to help you get through this.
