Abuse and domestic violence hotlines are available in Massachusetts, United States

Many women, children, and men in the world are victims of domestic violence – this is any behaviour that maintains control over a spouse, partner, family member, or girlfriend/boyfriend. Abuse may be expressed physically, emotionally, verbally, sexually, or financially, and you may feel threatened, controlled or coerced.

Setting free from an abuser may feel impossible. You are probably terrified and feel trapped. However, many victims of abuse and domestic violence have made it.   • Not allowing you to work or get an education
  • Your partner/family member is constantly trying to convince you you’re crazy and makes you doubt your experiences (also known as gaslighting)
