The helpline provides counselling to callers on the following issues: a) Violence against women, including information about the relevant legislation and the services available for victims of violence against women; b) Domestic violence, including information about the applicable legislation and the services available for victims of domestic violence; c) Sexual violence, including information about the legislation in this field and the services available for victims of sexual violence; d) Human trafficking (trafficking in persons), including information about the relevant legislation and the services available for victims and potential victims of trafficking in persons. Through the Helpline for Victims of Violence, any interested person can receive information about the mechanisms for responding to cases of violence and the protective measures available for victims. If necessary, the person is referred to a shelter and/or crisis center designated for victims of violence.
