The SOS Voz Amiga Association is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, recognized as a collective person of public utility and who provides emotional support by telephone in acute situations of suffering caused by loneliness, anxiety, depression and suicide risk.This activity was initiated in 1978 The SOS Voz Amiga Association is an associate member of IFOTES (International Federation of Telephone Emergency Services), www.ifotes.org. The service is provided by volunteers, citizens of good will, anonymous, non-professional and unpaid, with selection, adequate training and experience. Appellants enjoy a genuine human relationship, based on listening without judgment. The support is entirely confidential.
