About YWCA NWT Crisis Line

The YWCA NWT 24/7 crisis support line is an extension of Alison McAteer House shelter for women and their children fleeing family violence. Trained staff provide support to women from across the Northwest Territories who have experienced or are experiencing various types of violence and/or abuse. The abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial, Elder abuse, or other. Whether you need a safe place to stay, an Emergency Protection Order to keep your abuser away from you via a court order, want to make a safety plan if leaving home for a shelter is not an option, or just want someone to talk to, YWCA NWT is here to help.
