The Botswana Gender-Based Violence Control (BGBVC) helpline offers free and confidential support to anyone experiencing gender-based violence. Whether you're facing physical, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse—or simply need someone to talk to—the helpline is here to support you, listen without judgment, and guide you to safety. If you need to talk to a trained counsellor, you can call the free Tele-Counselling line at 14655. This service is available to everyone in Botswana and provides a safe, private space to share what you're going through and explore your options. Counsellors can help with safety planning, emotional support, and referrals to additional services such as shelters, legal aid, or medical assistance. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent help, contact the Emergency Line at (+267) 74 265 081. This number connects you directly with emergency support for fast intervention. All calls are handled with care and confidentiality. The team is trained to support survivors of violence with compassion and professionalism. You don’t have to go through it alone—help is just a phone call away.
