DECIDE is Aotearoa New Zealand’s National Abortion Telehealth Service. It's funded by the Manatū Hauora Ministry of Health and run by Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa and Magma Healthcare. We provide information about abortion, abortion services, and how people can access abortion care in New Zealand. We also provide an early medical abortion by phone service (telemedicine) across New Zealand. Most regions of New Zealand have an abortion service at a hospital, a community clinic, or some Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa clinics. Most abortion services are free for most New Zealand citizens and residents. You don't need a referral from your doctor (GP) or health practitioner to have an abortion in New Zealand. This means you can contact an abortion provider directly for information and appointments for abortion services — we can help you find an abortion provider in your region.
