About Sexual Violence Helpline Quebec

You can contact the Sexual Violence Helpline at any time. Our service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our counsellors provide support not only for victims but for their loved ones and people who work with sexual violence victims as well.

We are ready to listen to people of all ages (from children to seniors), whether the sexual violence they experienced happened yesterday or a long time ago. Regardless of your sexual identity, gender or cultural identity, or the form or context of the violence you experienced, we will listen and suggest accessible resources that can help you.

When you contact us, a counsellor will welcome you into a safe, anonymous and confidential space where no one will judge you. We will believe you and support you while respecting your choices.

Every conversation is anchored in the here and now. We practise active listening and an empathetic approach, regardless of the form of sexual violence: assault, exploitation, harassment, cyberviolence, etc. We ask the necessary questions to identify your needs and give you the information and referrals you need while respecting your autonomy.
