The 016 Service offers information, legal advice, and timely and immediate psychosocial support for all forms of violence against women experienced in Spain, under the "Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence," drafted in Istanbul in 2011 and ratified by Spain in 2014. This Convention covers any form of gender-based violence against women. Furthermore, the 016 Service includes a service for the prevention and response to trafficking and/or sexual exploitation of women and girls. Thus, the Ministry of Equality, through the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, provides a telephone service for information, legal advice, and immediate psychosocial support provided by specialized personnel for all forms of violence against women.
