With 20 years of experience in the field of child and family rights protection, the Child Helpline Association (https://telefonulcopilului.ro/) is the only non-governmental, non-profit organization in Romania that provides children and adolescents with a free and confidential national helpline, 116111. Children and adolescents turn to the child helpline, 116111, in order to express their thoughts, fears, to talk about abuses that directly affect them and, most importantly, to receive help in an emergency situation. Bullying, cyberbullying, drug abuse, problems such depression, anxiety, loneliness are just some of the situations in which children and adolescents call 116111 for support. Since its launch, 118.834 specialized counseling sessions have been offered to children.
