Contact a hotline in Rwanda to get advice on how to support someone you're worried about.

Watching a loved one experience what resembles an emotional crisis can be hard. It's normal to be worried and to wonder how and whether you can help. There are 1 hotlines in Rwanda that you can contact for free advice, if your loved one is experiencing any of the following:

  • They are easily startled.
  • They are struggling at school or work.
  • They complain about being about being tired all the time.
  • They've recently experienced a significant life event like a break up or a death.
  • They always seems to be down or in a low mood.
  • They seem irritable and their moods are unpredictable.
  • They seem secretive, like they're hiding something.
  • They don’t seem to be keeping up with their daily responsibilities.

When someone you love is suffering, it can hurt you too. If you don’t know how to help, it’s normal to feel powerless. You can be there for your loved one in small ways and still make a big difference.

If you're worried about a loved one's mental health and you're not sure what to do, help is available. You can contact a hotline in Rwanda and get support from a volunteer who cares. A helpline volunteer can guide you in how to help a loved one who is struggling.
