We are here to listen without judgement. We are a non-governmental organization called Iran Crisis Text Line, which provides 24-hour access to crisis counselors and suicide prevention services for all Iranians experiencing emotional distress. We are committed to empowering our texters in the crisis through solidarity, hope and empathy.

We are here to make sure that no one in Iran is alone in facing the dark and difficult parts of their lives. Experience has shown us that hope is born of communication. Given that 90% of people who attempt suicide suffer from a clinical disorder and are often reluctant to die and regret theirselves only a few seconds after attempting suicide, we, Iran Crisis Text Line, know our duty and mission as citizens to serve those for whom suicide is a "request for help" so that they can live through this difficult period of their lives in good health and with the least irreparable consequences. Our method of choice is to help via text, since text is a common method in today's world and according to the evidence is very effective, we have chosen this method. We are available 24 hours a day to listen without judgement to any Iranian who is not in good condition and in crisis.
