Struggling with worry, anxiety or fear? Contact a hotline in Lebanon for free support

Many people experience anxiety at some point in their lives. Even though it may be different for each person, you aren't alone in feeling anxious. If you're struggling with anxiety or worry, or think you might be having a panic attack, there are 4 helplines in Lebanon who can understand how you're feeling. The following are just some examples of anxiety symptoms:

  • Feeling like you're in danger
  • Increased heart rate
  • Holding tension in your body (clenched jaw, tension in shoulders and neck, frowning without realizing)
  • Feeling weak or exhausted by your thoughts
  • Feeling extremely nervous or overwhelmed
  • Restlessness, fidgeting, or can't seem to sit still
  • Finding it difficult to relax or wind down
  • Feeling like you can't calm down

It's normal for anxiety to impact thoughts, feelings, and even physical sensations. Everyone's experience is different, which can make it hard to know what's happening when you've never experienced it before. Some people feel a mild sense of anxiety most of the time. For others, they may experience sudden and severe anxiety to the degree that they feel like they are experiencing a heart attack or dying.

Although anxiety can make you feel alone in your struggles, what you're going through is very common. There's always help available in Lebanon, and someone to help you understand and manage your anxiety.

Consider contacting a hotline in Lebanon right away for free, private help with anxiety.
