Contact a free depression hotline in Mexico for confidential support

Depression is one of the most common mental health problems, affecting about 13% of people worldwide. Depression can affect people differently, but common feelings associated with depression include sadness, hopelessness, worthlessness, and guilt.

There are 6 depression hotlines in Mexico that you can contact for free help if you're experiencing the following symptoms:

  • You cannot concentrate and have difficulties memorizing things
  • Things that used to bring you joy mean nothing to you now
  • You wake up during the night or at dawn and cannot fall asleep again
  • You ruminate over all your past mistakes
  • Your appetite and eating habits have changed
  • You have lost energy and feel tired all the time
  • You find it difficult to socialize
  • You feel discouraged and pessimistic

Even though depression symptoms may feel overwhelming, they are not uncommon. It is normal to find yourself depressed at some point. With the right help, you can deal with feelings of sadness and hopelessness.

Depression can make you feel like a burden to others so you may be hesitant to ask for help. However, there are helpline volunteers and counselors in Mexico who care about your situation and want to help. Sharing your feelings with a compassionate listener can help you feel supported and less alone.
