Hope Line is a non-governmental and non-profit psychological support hotline in China. It's a nationwide helpline with a special focus and specialty on suicide prevention and crisis interventions, operating 24/7. Anyone can call and receive support. It also offers public services such as life skills education in schools, support groups, crisis prevention, emergency support, and public lectures. With the mission of "upholding the right of every life, body, and mind to be free from violation and self-harm; and safeguarding the right of every life, body, and mind to pursue survival, health, happiness, and the ability to love and be loved," Hope Line is dedicated to voluntary services in life education and crisis intervention. Its efforts are carried out through three service teams: the Hotline Team, the Public Awareness Team, and the Little Marionette Troupe. The Hotline Team operates life hotlines for individuals at risk of suicide, depression hotlines for distressed individuals and their families, and student hotlines for students, parents, teachers, and schools. As of March 2025, we have answered a total of 528,000+ calls; the Public Awareness Team has delivered over 1,000 lectures on life education and crisis prevention, reaching more than 350,000 people; the Little Marionette Troupe has performed 420 life education psychodrama sessions, engaging over 14,000 participants.
