• Use drugs, alcohol or self-harm to distract yourself from your problems at school or work.
• Often feel overwhelmed, anxious, restless and unable to relax or concentrate.
• Have intense school or work related anxiety, stress, fear or worry.
• Have thoughts of violence, self-harm or suicide because you feel trapped by school or work.
• Avoid classes, school or work by faking symptoms, illnesses or engagements such as family events.
• Pretend that you are sick, nauseous or hurt so that you can avoid attending.
• Have difficulty following lessons or instructions, and feel unable to focus.

Difficulties at school or work can have a domino effect. Specific issues such as pressure from teachers or managers, undiagnosed learning disabilities, poor vision or hearing, bullying and social anxiety can end up impacting every aspect of your daily experience at school or work – but you are not alone.
