Are you worried about a loved one? Contact a helpline in China for support.

Many of us have struggled with our mental health at some point, or we know someone who has. When we suspect that a loved one could be having mental health problems, it can raise concerns. If your loved one shows any of these signs, contact a helplines in China for advice – 11 helplines are available:

  • They appear to be consumed by their thoughts and in their own world.
  • They don’t seem to be keeping up with their daily responsibilities.
  • They have stopped caring about their physical appearance.
  • They have told you they are struggling emotionally.
  • They seem irritable and their moods are unpredictable.
  • They often complain of aches and pains that have no obvious cause.
  • They reject invitations to spend time together or hang out.
  • They always seems to be down or in a low mood.

Most people find it difficult to know what to do or say when someone close to them appears to be struggling with their mental health. It's normal to feel a desire to help yet at the same time feel helpless. There are ways you can support your loved one that are not overly complicated.

If you're worried about a loved one's mental health and you're not sure what to do, help is available. You can contact a hotline in China and get support from a volunteer who cares. A helpline volunteer can guide you in how to help a loved one who is struggling.
