The Befrienders Malacca is a member of Befrienders Worldwide which has 349 volunteer centres in 32 countries, across 5 continents, run by more than 31,000 volunteers providing free, non-judgmental and confidential listening service.

Befrienders are trained to actively listen to people who are lonely, in despair, contemplating or attempting suicide. We do not judge them or tell them what to do. We just listen with our hearts. That may not sound much but it can and it has made the difference between life and death.
