Experiencing anxiety or a panic attack? Get free support for anxiety from a hotline in Malaysia

Many people experience anxiety at some point in their lives. Even though it may be different for each person, you aren't alone in feeling anxious. If you're struggling with anxiety or worry, or think you might be having a panic attack, there are 9 helplines in Malaysia who can understand how you're feeling. The following are just some examples of anxiety symptoms:

  • Increased heart rate
  • Struggling to concentrate or focus because you're distracted by worrying
  • Restlessness, fidgeting, or can't seem to sit still
  • Feeling weak or exhausted by your thoughts
  • Feeling panicky
  • Feeling like something bad is going to happen
  • Feeling irritable or on edge
  • Excessive worry

All of these are normal symptoms of anxiety. Some of these are similar to what you might feel during stressful times, but with anxiety, you might feel these even when there isn't anything causing you to be stressed. Some people also experience anxiety or panic attacks, which are sudden moments of very intense panic or fear.

Although anxiety can make you feel alone in your struggles, what you're going through is very common. There's always help available in Malaysia, and someone to help you understand and manage your anxiety.
