Most people feel stressed from time to time, but when everyday pressures become too much to bear, it can put a lot of strain on your mental wellbeing. If you notice any of the following negative experiences associated with stress, there are 10 hotlines in Malaysia you can contact for support:

  • Having difficulty making decisions and judgments.
  • Constantly worrying about something.
  • Changes in weight and appetite; eating too little or too much.
  • Digestive issues that result in diarrhea, constipation, heart burn, or digestive disorders.
  • Headaches or dizziness.
  • Excessive sweating in the hands.
  • Low energy and lack of motivation.
  • Rapid heartbeat and chest pain.

It's hard to relax and switch off when your mind is racing with thoughts about work, relationships, family, finances and anything else that's stressing you out. The worry and fear you experience consumes a lot of mental energy, making it hard to keep up with life's demands. However, there are healthy ways to cope.
