The 116 000 line is a 24/7 free crisis line defined by the topic of a child/student at risk, not by the target group. We provide remote crisis assistance to minor children and students under 26 years of age, those close to the child and professionals. The most common groups are: parents, relatives, friends, as well as teachers and educators (simply anyone who works with children). We accept suggestions from the general public who notice a case of a child at risk (e.g. neighbours). In addition to the crisis line, we also offer chat counselling. Chat 116 000 is open every working day from 3 pm to 6 pm, Saturdays + Sundays + public holidays from 10 am to 1 pm.
