Whether you’ve been bullied, online, at home, at school or at work, you are never alone. Support is always available. There are 4 helplines in South Korea for the victims of bullying. Reach out today to connect with someone who understands how lonely and afraid you feel. If you resonate with any of the following, seek support from a helpline near you:

  • Your personal items have repeatedly been damaged or taken by others on purpose.
  • You have been excluded from activities and social groups in a hurtful or humiliating way.
  • Someone has shared private, negative, false or harmful pictures, content or rumours about you.
  • You have been embarrassed by the spreading of rumours, whether made up or true.
  • You have been publicly belittled because of your looks, shape, ethnicity, culture, or financial status
  • Others have frequently shamed, taunted or threatened you on social media.
  • Others have repeatedly called you names and laughed at, teased and taunted you.
  • Others have openly excluded you from social groups or activities.

Bullying takes many forms, but it always leaves victims feeling lonely, humiliated and weak. Remember, bullies try to boost their power at the expense of others. Bullying is selfish, and never deserved by the victim. Although you feel alone, there are people you can trust and turn to for support.

Right now, you might feel helpless, excluded or afraid. You may be unsure about contacting a helpline for support because of how you have been treated previously. However, helpline staff in South Korea are well-trained in helping people like you who have been bullied. You will be treated with kindness and understanding.
