About Childline

Childline is a counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the United Kingdom provided by the NSPCC. We are available for free and confidential support by phone and online chat.

We are available to talk with you about any kind of experience relating to mental health, from a mental health crisis through to general wellbeing. Our support is free. We are dedicated to preventing suicide. If you are contemplating suicide or wanting to kill yourself, we will listen without judgment and support you.

When you contact us you will talk with one of our trained and supportive counselors or volunteers who will listen to you with empathy and understanding, and work together with you to find a meaningful way forward. They are experienced in knowing how to help people who have challenges like what you are going through.
