Desi LGBTQ Helpline

DeQH - Desi lgbtQ Helpline - is North America’s first national South Asian LGBTQ+ peer support helpline offering free, confidential, culturally sensitive peer support, as well as resources. We provide a safe and supportive ear for callers to share their concerns, questions, struggles, or hopes through conversations with our trained South Asian peer support volunteers. DeQH can help with questions on gender, identity, coming out, dealing with family, culture, or faith, listening to callers as they work through things, assisting callers to find community in their area, finding a good doctor, lawyer, or therapist, or providing advice for a friend or family member. Please note that DeQH does not offer professional counseling services or engagement in suicide prevention. Our hours are Thursdays and Sundays from 8 - 10 pm Eastern Time (you can call 908-FOR-DEQH).
