Hawaii CARES 988 assists those experiencing a behavioral health crisis and/or having thoughts of suicide. Crisis counselors are able to provide supportive counseling, crisis or suicide intervention, safety planning, and/or linkage to appropriate community resources that may include mental health services, substance use information and referral, crisis mobile outreach, and admission to a crisis stabilization bed.
