Unplanned pregnancy? Find out about your options from a helpline in United Kingdom.

If your pregnancy was unplanned, you may be considering what to do next. Falling pregnant unexpectedly is quite common but it can be experienced in different ways by different women. If you're battling with any of the following, help is available from one of 7 hotlines in United Kingdom.

  • Feeling guilty for not having prevented the pregnancy.
  • Feeling regret like you made a big mistake.
  • Feeling scared that your partner or your parents will reject you when they find out.
  • Feeling unsure about the options that are available to you.
  • Feeling concerned about your financial situation if you go through with the pregnancy.
  • Concerns about your relationship and whether it'll survive if you go through with the pregnancy.
  • Feeling unprepared to go through with the pregnancy and to raise a baby.
  • Being reluctant to change your lifestyle to accommodate a baby.

It's normal to feel many different, conflicting emotions as you figure out what to do next. It's just as normal to have made up your mind easily and to feel at peace with your choice. However you're feeling is valid.

Finding out you're pregnant when it wasn't planned can put you in a difficult position. If you're not ready to tell anyone about it, you may feel alone. However, helpine counselors and volunteers are available in United Kingdom to offer a listening ear and zero-judgment support, no matter where you are in your decision-making process.
