Our organization is a peer-run organization. Our warm-line assists those in crisis or those just needing someone with lived experience to talk to. All of our agency staff consider themselves peers, as someone with lived experience, whether that be mental health, substance, or trauma. The staff who answer the warm lines can relate to callers on a more one-on-one level as they have lived the experience and can show that not only is recovery the expectation but that it is truly possible.
