Our organization is a peer run organization. Our Warm-line assists those in crisis or someone just needing someone with lived experience to talk to. All of our agency staff consider themselves peers, as someone with lived experience, whether that be mental health, substance, or trauma. The staff who answer the warm-lines can relate to callers on a more one on one level as they have the lived experience and can show that not only is recovery the expectation, but that it is truly possible.
