The loss of a loved one is a severe blow to any family. Survivors of suicide loss are especially traumatised. They often take a long time to overcome the pain. Most of them are ultimately unable to cope with the melancholy and end up taking their own lives. Starting from 2008, Suicide Prevention Services (SPS) continues to provide counselling to suicide bereaved families to ease their grief and reorganize their lives. Apart from professional grief counselling, we also provide regular mutual support groups, peer activities and other therapeutic programmes to relieve their pain. Another goal of the service is to empower individuals with similar experiences to become volunteers and share their grieving journey with other survivors of suicide loss, to ignite their hopes for a new life.
