Don't suffer in silence. Get in touch with a helpline in Hong Kong for support with trauma and PTSD

It is never easy to deal with traumatic experiences and resulting PTSD symptoms. There are 10 in Hong Kong that can help you begin your healing journey. Although each person’s experience of trauma and PTSD is unique, there are some common symptoms which include:

  • Overwhelming negative emotions such as guilt, shame, sadness and anxiety
  • Self-harming or destructive behaviour
  • Experiencing 'hypervigilance' or extreme alertness
  • Being unable to remember details of the traumatic event
  • Noticing tastes, smells or sounds connected to the trauma
  • Becoming isolated, withdrawn and avoiding social situations
  • Continued negative thoughts about a traumatic experience
  • Frequent nightmares and disturbed sleep patterns

If you have any of these symptoms, reach out for help – you don’t have to be alone in your struggle. There is hope on the horizon and people who understand what you are going through.

Dealing with experiences that have left us with wounds can feel daunting. It’s okay to be overwhelmed by what you are going through. But you don’t have to do it alone – there are people in Hong Kong who understand and are here to support you.
