The Samaritans is a volunteer-driven, independent, non-religious organization with charitable status established in Hong Kong in 1974 to provide unconditional emotion support to those in distress that may also lead to suicide. Our vision is to save lives by caring for those in distress. We achieve this vision by providing care through listening, educating people to communicate empathetically and to be good listeners, and connecting with our own and wider community to share our experience.
