Get free, confidential help with anxiety from a hotline in Hong Kong

Anxiety can affect anyone. It can be overwhelming and difficult to deal with, especially if it's not something you've experienced before. But you're not alone in what you're going through. If you think you might be experiencing anxiety, there are {{numberofresults}} in Hong Kong who are there to help. Anxiety symptoms may look like:

  • Feeling like something bad is going to happen
  • Trembling, sweating, or feeling clammy
  • Ruminating (spending a lot of time obsessing over things that are worrying you)
  • Struggling to control thoughts and feelings that are centered around things you're worried about
  • Holding tension in your body (clenched jaw, tension in shoulders and neck, frowning without realizing)
  • Avoiding situations that cause worry
  • Sudden shortness of breath
  • Unable to switch your brain off

All of these are normal symptoms of anxiety. Some of these are similar to what you might feel during stressful times, but with anxiety, you might feel these even when there isn't anything causing you to be stressed. Some people also experience anxiety or panic attacks, which are sudden moments of very intense panic or fear.

It's important to remind yourself that what you're going through is normal. You are not alone – there are people in Hong Kong who understand and can help.
