Don't suffer in silence. Get in touch with a helpline in Canada for support with trauma and PTSD

If you have been through a traumatic experience affecting your life, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Reach out to one of 8 helplines across Canada. If you aren’t sure if you have PTSD, then read through these common symptoms and see if you can relate:

  • A sensation of emotional numbness
  • Experiencing 'hypervigilance' or extreme alertness
  • Blaming yourself for what happened to you
  • Finding it hard to concentrate
  • Experiencing emotions that you went through during the trauma
  • Avoiding places that remind you of a traumatic event
  • Self-harming or destructive behaviour
  • Repetitive thoughts about how you could have changed or avoided the traumatic event

Experiencing these symptoms of trauma and PTSD can be extremely distressing. They can still impact your daily life even at a reasonably mild level. Seeking help can assist you with managing your symptoms.

Even though going through trauma and PTSD can feel very isolating and scary, there are people in Canada who are here to help. Sharing how you feel is the first step towards recovery. You don’t have to face your fears alone.

If you think you might need support with the symptoms of trauma & PTSD today, consider contacting a helpline in Canada for free, confidential help.
