About Jourhavande präst

The priest on call offers emergency conversation and crisis support and is part of the Church of Sweden's pastoral care. The priest on duty listens, and what is said stays between you. You may contact the priest on duty via phone, digital letter or chat.

The Church of Sweden offers the Priest on Duty as a community service during the time of day when many other services are closed. The priest on call is present, listens and shares the concerns you want to talk about.

The priests are anonymous, just like you are anonymous.

Being able to share your thoughts with someone can make a difference. You can talk about anything you want - sadness, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, anxiety or anything else you're struggling with.

The priest on duty has an absolute duty of confidentiality. This means that what is said between you in a conversation, chat or digital letter will not be passed on to others. Nor may a priest be called to testify in court about things he heard in a single pastoral care conversation.
