Kamatsiaqut Nunavut Helpline is dedicated to providing 24/7, free and confidential support and information by phone and text message (SMS). We are here to help everyone in Ontario, Canada who may need emotional support with abuse & domestic violence, anxiety, bullying, Dementia & Alzheimer's, depression, eating & body image, family issues, gambling, gender & sexual identity, grief & loss, loneliness, parenting, pregnancy & abortion, relationships, school or work issues, self-harm, sexual abuse, stress, substance use, suicide, supporting a friend or family member, trauma & PTSD.
Our free support is provided for all mental health issues, whether you're in crisis or just need someone to talk to. You can contact us about anything that you're going through. We're committed to suicide prevention, so if you are having thoughts of suicide or thinking about killing yourself, we are here to listen and support you.
When you contact us you will talk with one of our trained volunteers who will listen to you with empathy and understanding, and work together with you to find a meaningful way forward. They are experienced in knowing how to help people who have challenges like what you are going through. Anyone can call and receive free support. We exist to help everyone regardless of age, gender, beliefs or ethnicity. We recognise that difficult mental health or crisis experiences can happen at any time, so we are available 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
