If you have been through a traumatic experience affecting your life, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Reach out to one of 23 helplines across California, United States. If you aren’t sure if you have PTSD, then read through these common symptoms and see if you can relate:

  • Overwhelming negative emotions such as guilt, shame, sadness and anxiety
  • Flashbacks of a traumatic event
  • Continued negative thoughts about a traumatic experience
  • An uncontrollable replay of the traumatic experience in your mind
  • Feeling unable to cope with your daily life
  • Feeling on edge and finding it difficult to relax
  • Blaming yourself for what happened to you
  • Repetitive thoughts about how you could have changed or avoided the traumatic event
