Are you worried about a loved one? Contact a helpline in United Kingdom for support.

Many of us have struggled with our mental health at some point, or we know someone who has. When we suspect that a loved one could be having mental health problems, it can raise concerns. If your loved one shows any of these signs, contact a helplines in United Kingdom for advice – 31 helplines are available:

  • They always seems to be down or in a low mood.
  • They are easily startled.
  • They don’t seem to be keeping up with their daily responsibilities.
  • They have harmed themselves.
  • They seem irritable and their moods are unpredictable.
  • They have become more withdrawn.
  • They are struggling at school or work.
  • You don’t hear from for days or weeks, when you used to hear from them often.

When someone you love is suffering, it can hurt you too. If you don’t know how to help, it’s normal to feel powerless. You can be there for your loved one in small ways and still make a big difference.

You can get guidance on how best to support a loved one you're worried about by contacting a helpline in United Kingdom. Helpline supporters can provide you with useful advice and resources so that you feel more empowered to help the person you care about.
