Struggling to cope with grief and loss? Hotline support is available in Ontario, Canada

Many people struggle to come to terms with a huge loss. However, you don't need to bear the burden of grief on your own. You can find free support in Ontario, Canada from 26 hotlines. If you recognize any of these symptoms, then talking through your experience with someone can help:

  • Becoming tearful and crying more often and unexpectedly
  • Feeling numb and cut off from your own emotions
  • Using substances to cope with the pain
  • Weight loss or weight gain
  • An increase or decrease in appetite
  • A feeling of deep sadness and emptiness
  • Feeling regret about things that were left unsaid
  • Feeling like there's a pit in your stomach

Grief is a very subjective experience and there is no typical way to grieve. However, most people find that they experience several different emotions. This can feel confusing and scary.
