Struggling with the challenges of being a parent? Hotline support is available in Ontario, Canada

How you parent makes a big difference not just to your children today, but to how they will be in the future too. This can be a major pressure for any parent. If this is you, help is available. Volunteers and counselors at 26 parenting hotlines in Ontario, Canada are there to listen and help you if you are struggling with:

  • Not agreeing with your partner about parenting approaches
  • Having a hard time saying “no” to your child
  • You feel like you are neither a good enough parent nor a good enough worker
  • Feeling overwhelmed when your kid has tantrums or misbehaves
  • You feel you might be approaching burnout because you have too much on your plate
  • Wanting to protect your child from any harm but not being able to
  • Your work is starting to decline because you are exhausted by your parenting duties
  • Feeling worried about the quality of nutrition your child receives

Parenting can bring out the best in us and the worst in us. It’s normal to feel confused about it. However, every parent in the world sometimes feels unhappy about themselves in that role.

Parenting can make you feel insecure. You may feel unconfident in your skills or actions. This is where the right kind of support from people in Ontario, Canada – people who are willing to listen and support you – can make a big difference.
